HPD launches attempted murder investigation after suspect fires multiple shots at vehicle in Kalihi

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu police have launched an attempted murder investigation after a suspect fired multiple shots at a moving vehicle in Kalihi on Thursday.
Officers responded just before 12 p.m. to the Mayor Wright Homes on N. Kukui Street.
Police said the suspect, possibly male, fired multiple shots at the Dodge Charger.
The vehicle was later found abandoned at Kalihi Valley Homes with multiple gunshot holes.
There were no known injuries, police said.
No arrests have been made.
“That’s all we have. If anybody out there has more information that can be useful, please do not hesitate. Hesitate to call 911,” said HPD Maj. Joseph Trinidad. “We need something. We need more information. We need everybody’s help.”
The investigation is ongoing.
